What We've Done

This unit has been fun.Out of all of these units I have liked paper prototype and the playing to learn units best.

We learned how to make our game on pieces of paper. After we made our paper prototype we got to try them out.Yes we actually got to play our games. When we played them and when we thought they were good we video taped them. When we video taped them they went on the internet.I thought that this unit was fun.

I looked up some information on the internet. The sites I looked up was http://judgepedia.org/index.php/2008_Judicial_Elections and http://www.ward-and-murphy.com/courts.html .

About Our Game

1. My partner's name is Stephen Baker. Our game is about rights. Our rights are a big deal in this country. Rights and respnonsibilities are a big part in civics. People have their own rights like religion beliefs or the right to wear what clothes you want to.

2. The player will learn about rights.Rights are a big deal in civics. You have a lot of rights, everybody does.People can go to court because of their rights.

3. I believe that our game will fit into the ideals section. I believe this because in the ideals section it has Minority rights and Individual Rights and Freedoms.

My Game Idea

I am in a team group. The team name is Halo Machines. My group partner is Stephen Baker. He is a great partner and he keeps his work up to date.He helps me all the time.

We came up with a game idea. Our game name is The Courthouse. Our game topic is rights and responsibilities. At first when we were thinking of a game we were going to call it the rights and responsibilities of ctizens, but then we decided to call it The Courthouse.

When kids play our game we want them to learn about rights and resonsibilities. We want the kids to learn and have fun at the same time. We want our game to be realistic and have good graphics.

In our game the characters are the judge, the plaintiff, the jury, and the defendant. In the game the defendant will have to answer questions and the judge will pick when the plaintiff can ask his questions and when the defendant can answer the questions. At the end of the trial the jury will pick if the defendant is guilty or not .
